A Foonf and a Fllo

My 3.5 year old ds is in a foonf and my 1 year old ds just outgrew his bucket seat.
I was thinking about getting the 1 year old the fllo instead of the Foonf because my husband is 6'6" and the 1 year old would ride behind the driver's seat in our mercedes benz ml320. I was hoping the fllo might take up a little less room? Is this the case?

And would it be odd to have a Foonf for one kid and a fllo for the other?
Thanks

I believe the fllo takes up less room because it's lower profile and if you don't install the anti rebound bar it takes up even less room. But if you don't need lock off's have you considered looking into the Graco Extend2fit, it has a 50 pound rear facing weight limit and has the highest height limit, making it the longest lasting convertible for rear facing. It is also petty compact from what I understand.

I think the space thing is dependent on the vehicle. The Fllo takes up less space but also sits lower, so it might hit the front seat in such a way that it has to be moved up or not reclined much.

Is your 3.5 yr old RFing or FFing?
My 3.5 year old is rear facing and he is tiny, so I bet we will keep him forward facing for a while.

I have not looked into the graco extend to fit, but i will.
I also wonder if it's just easier to have two of the same car seat, especially to avoid jealousy issues.

Well you could pass down the Foonf and let your 3.5 year old help you pick out a new Graco extend 2 fit (if that's what you want)? The baby likely doesn't care at this point and the 3.5 year old will be happy to have input (like what color seat to get). Personally I've never had jealousy issues between my 2 boys (almost 4 and almost 2). And my 3 year can find anything to complain about ranging from his cracker is broken to his brother touched him....

Oops,
I meant we will probably keep him rear facing for a while because he is tiny.

Does the graco take up less front to back room than the cleks?

Yes, the Extend2Fit is more compact front to back than the Clek seats, particularly with the extension tray in. For kids over 40 lbs, you have to have the extension out at least one click.
