Lil dudes seat was crashed so I had to replace it. Just ordered a Monterey and I'm terrified.
He will rarely use it but I'm so so nervous. It's my first experience with boostering my own children and I didn't think it would happen until at least 6 (he's 5.5). He's 47lbs and 45" so I know he is big enough I just can't stomach using a seatbelt on my original baby!!

Omg I know how you feel! DH made the mistake of telling DD about boosters and she started driving me crazy! She's 5yr2mo, 37#,42" and I ended up picking up a Turbobooster SS for $39 clearanced at Target. I got it on Sunday and thank goodness because DD puked in her Nautilus the day after I bought it and it needs new straps before I can use it. All that to say, I feel your pain! I'm not ready to have a booster rider!

Oh wow, big milestone! :) My DS has the same stats but he just turned 4yrs so I know the world of boosters is closer than I can handle! I'm going to keep him harnessed in the Frontier as long as possible!

He uses a Frontier in my car, thank goodness. This will be for hubbys car and insurance will replace "equivalent" to a Defender, so another Frontier wasn't in the cards.
I think he will be OK. Its me that has the anxiety haha.

Ugh, it looks like it's going back as with the vehicle head restraint we get the dreaded "gap". We don't need it that high yet, but he won't be at that height forever. Plus the seat headrest makes contact with the pillar when all the way up (which is where the side airbag is).

My ds1 who is 5.5yo just had his first booster ride in my dads car. He did great, but it still makes me nervous! He is 46" and 48lbs. A new harnessed seat just didnt make sense for such occasional use.
