    which truck to buy?

Hello! We aren't pregnant yet, but hubby and I need a truck. We want to live away from town so 4x4 is good. We might want to haul a trailer. Budget is tight, so a used truck is probable. I'm thinking ahead a but much maybe but hope to learn first. I sure appreciate your work here on this forum. I've learned so much about car seats already! Thank u

For kids, anything but a full size pickup with a super cab is going to be a nuisance for carseats. You'd be much happier with an SUV that has towing capability. If you can post how much you need to two and your budget, someone might have a good idea for you.

    Re: which truck to buy?

If you need a pickup truck, I can say that the F150s are super car seat friendly. My brother has about a 2008 extra cab (?)...the one with suicide doors, and my dad has a 2012 or 13 I think. My dad's truck seems a little roomier. My step-dad had a 4-door (crew cab?) and I swear I could put anything I wanted in there. Three across if necessary. That's my experience.

I've had Explorers and an Expedition (Expy is on an F150 frame) and they have been car seat friendly as well. We have towed boats of various weights with no issue. We are about to trade for a 4WD Honda Pilot. Tow capacity is lower, but all we have now is an aluminum boat and an open trailer, so it will do the job. I should mention that my DH is 6'4" and we have had no issue with seats behind him if needed.
