3 across in a 09 Jeep Liberty

Hello all,
I hate to ask another 3 across question but cannot find an answer to this. I have a 09 Jeep Liberty and we are expecting our third little one in June. My DH is convinced we need a new car- I'm convinced we can make it work as we are not really in a financial position to buy a new car (I'm finishing up school). We have a 4 year old in a Britax Marathon who is FF, and we have an infant Peg Perego seat I'd like to use for new baby. My 2 year old is using a recaro performance RF seat- it's fine for now but I don't think it will fit with 3 across. We need to put the recaro in my DH car to transport my oldest to school in the morning (DH drops her off in the AM and I pick her up). Any recommendations for a convertible seat to go with the Marathon and peg perego seat? I can't figure out what would fit back there!! Thanks!!!

Maybe a radian?

I'm not very familiar with the marathon and peg, but I think they might be wider seats. I was able to get 2 FFing radians and a keyfit in an '08 Liberty, but it was a pretty tight fit. You'll definitely need seatbelt installs for all three.

Sorry I can't be more help! Good luck finding something that works!

I think you're right that the Recaro won't work in a 3 across, but I would be very hesitant to use it forward facing: http://carseatblog.com/35315/consum...th-recaro-performance-ride-convertible-seats/

The Peg infant seat is nice and narrow, so it's probably a good choice.

I see on other threads that Radians and Marathons puzzle well, but only if they face the same direction.

Could the 2 year old rear face in the Marathon? Maybe the Peg could go in the middle between a rear facing Marathon and a forward facing Graco Tranzitions? Or maybe the Tranzitions could go on the middle.

I used to have a Jeep Liberty and it was pretty narrow. I would think you'd have to have a radian in the mix in order to achieve 3 across.

I'd venture a guess that maybe ff marathon, rf radian with an angle adjuster in the middle and peg seat on the outside might work. Otherwise you may also need to switch out the marathon for a slimmer seat it it doesn't puzzle well with the radian, like a Graco Tranzitions or a Harmony Defender.

I know this post is a couple years old but did you ever get 3 across? I have a 2010 jeep liberty. A 3 year old who's 28 lbs and 3 ft tall who I just put FF in a radiant r120. An 18 month old who's RF in a Britax marathon. And due in August. I have a Graco snug ride that I want to use for the baby. Wondering how the hell I get a seat in the middle when the seatbelt doesn't have child lock???
