I have flown with babes a few times, but have always worn my babe in a carrier. (Never brought a stroller.) My baby is now 2.5 and while she probably only weighs 27#, my back really doesn't like to wear her on my front. But I need my back free for my backpack. We've got the packing, airport & car seat thing down. But I am thinking of getting a umbrella stroller for the airport & to hang in my trunk.
Albee baby has a Chicco C6 for $79.99 that comes with a "carry bag". Is that good for gate checking? Stroller only goes to 37# & weighs 11#.
The Kolcraft Cloud is only $39.99 & goes to 40#, but only has 3 pt harness.
The Inglesina 2014 Swift is 79.99, goes to 55# and looks like a nicer stroller than the Chicco.
They have a Maclaren Globetrotter that I am drooling over for $99.99. 5pt harness, 55# weight capacity, light weight, raincover, and it is a Maclaren.
This will be our flying stroller (about once per year) & main stroller (a couple times a month). Is the $9.50 check in bag from Amazon fine to protect it? Is a Maclaren as wonderful as I think & safe to gate check?
Please advise. This is my last stroller purchase. I use my valvo baby walking around town, but want an umbrella for the van.
Thanks,
