Question Widest actual seating for High Back Booster

Is the Diono Cambria the widest seat for a high back booster in the under $100 price range? My 6 year old is a big and tall boy and complains that he feels squished in every booster we've tried in store in the area between the arm rests. So I am looking for the widest seat measurement from inside of arm rest to inside of armrest. There is absolutely no way whatsoever that he is ready to not be in a booster at all but has fully outgrown our 5pt harness seat. Thanks!

I don't know for sure, but I think that the Recaro Performance Booster or the Diono Monterey might be a little roomier, however they are a little more expensive. The Cambria is likely your best bet if your budget is strictly under $100.

I was just looking for info about the Boost Air and it appears to have been discontinued! :-/

Is he over 60 lbs? If so, and if he would do OK in a backless booster, the Safety 1st Incognito doesn't have armrests at all.

Where did you get the info it was discontinued? I see it is still currently on sale at a lot of stores.

It has fold up armrests for bigger kids' ease of buckling which can really help.

I was just looking for it (online) yesterday, and it was out of stock at every online retailer I looked at. And I'm realizing I got the discontinued idea from the Amazon listing that came up, that said "discontinued by manufacturer." But Amazon of course puts that on listings of discontinued colors and previous models, I now realize. Found a current Amazon listing. And a current Walmart one. Looks like maybe they're just in the midst of a color changeover? Hooray!

Thanks for all the input everyone! My 6yo son is 51" tall and weighs 65lbs but lacks the maturity, majorly. I think we are going to go with the Cambria! I contacted Diono directly and they provided me with very useful exact measurement pictures. If anyone else is interested: The inside armrest to armrest hip space of the Monterey is 12", the Cambria is an impressive 15"... they also gave me a discount code that takes off $27 when ordering from their website directly for taking the time to contact them! Total score because I would have only saved $4.50 buying it at Target with my Red Card, LOL! I also contacted Recaro about their Performance Booster and the hip measurement on that one is 12.5" if anyone needs to know! If you're in the market for some Diono seats, send them a message via their FB page asking a few questions, you might score a discount code as well! :)
