Safety of this non-regulated product?

Not sure, I can only repeat what I think I read here some time that restraining the head directly increases some kind of loads [was it neck]? The "Nonods" thing looks like like it will come open in a crash though, because it's only velcro-ed together? Didn't read the description ...

That particular one has elastic that stretches all the way around the seat. A similar product that I saw has a small buckle (the kind where you squeeze to open).

Look at all those head slumpy Nautiluses. Why can't Graco just put another recline setting?
Anyway, it's definitely a no. From both the 'we don't know how it would change the forces on the head and neck' and the 'omg, why do you want a strap near your kid's neck? total strangulation hazard' perspectives.

On a kind of related note, I have come across some "snake-like" pillows on pinterest that are intriguing to me and I am curious about their safety. It looks like a lot of these can attach to the straps, but I would assume they would work just the same without that attachment. Definitely not something I am concerned about being a projectile in a crash.

As long as they aren't attached to the harness, those are fine. I had a shorter one years ago for my kiddos to lean on and they liked it.
That Pin is crazy, that looks JUST like my neighbor's kid, and she sews, I had to make sure it wasn't her picture (he's a Britax rider, so I suspected not, but still... lol)
