Back from our trip. It was a breeze for us. The only hiccup was that our seats ended up behind the exit row (which was not what the seat map showed when booked), so we had to move. They waited until everyone was on, then they moved us to the back. The flight attendant was very apologetic and helped carry our backpack down while I toted the car seat. Nobody commented on installing it rfing, one attendant asked me if it was FAA approved, but didn't ask to see the sticker since I had already installed it. We were able to preboard on our return flight, and always deplaned after everyone else anyway since DD2 is slow walking down the aisle. The RA50 fit just fine rfing. I was even able to put the armrest next to it down. Since the seats don't recline, I didn't have to feel guilty that the person in front couldn't recline with DD2 there.
