Infant seats - humour me ;)

So baby isn't due until March - April, but I'm already thinking car seats. I've never bought my own infant seat before. Yes, it's true. 8 babies and I've always had trusted hand-me-downs. So I want something nice. Something cool. Something fancy. Yes, I know Graco makes nice seats, but I've had a few of them already. Also had a KF already.

Yes, I'm in Canada. Please don't move this to the Canadian section because two of the seats I'm interested in aren't here yet. I expect to be able to see the seats in January.

What do you like / dislike about:

- Nuna Pipa
- Uppababy Mesa
- Peg Perego 4-35

Any others I should be looking at? Prezi? B-Safe Elite?

We don't have Cybex here.

ETA: I do a lot of baseless installs, especially once baby is a couple months old and doesn't need to come with me on drop-off runs. With 3 vehicles, 9 kids, transporting large items, etc. I don't like having a base monopolizing a spot. This probably cuts into a big plus for the Pipa ;)

I was about to ask if you do frequent baseless installs! Since you do, I would recommend the 4-35. I haven't done it myself, but the baseless install on that one seems super secure. I also love that it has harness holders and comes in some fantastic colors.

Do you have any strollers that it needs to be compatible with?

ETA: I should add that I really don't have personal experiences with any of these -- I just love the Euro routing on my Aton so much and the Peg's routing with the handle as anti-rebound is cool!

Thanks!!! I'm leaning towards the Peg, but haven't played with it in person. The closest store that carries it is 1.5 hours away and closed on Sundays. The last 3 times I've had other business in the city were on... Sundays. Blah. Trying to be patient because with our fuel prices I'm not making a special trip to see a seat LOL. Also hoping the Pipa & Mesa show up when they're supposed to so I can see them too.

No, not worried at all about strollers. I'm a rebel and have never used a proper system or official adapter. I've never had a problem putting a seat on my strollers using my DIY hack -- a couple pieces of webbing & a buckle through the baseless belt path LOL.

I've seen lots of Pegs come into the store & they look SO nice!!

The new BSafe35 looks pretty nice too but no idea on install. It looks similar to the Peg in the shape of the seat.

P.S congrats!!! :)
