New baby and in need of new car! Help me please.

I drive a 2010 WRX now and with just a high booster and a infant seat. It would fine and I love it. I'm going to be after anothe baby and I know I can have two rear facing seats and latch high booster in the back...Hubby is getting me a new car but what to get?

I don't want a huge car, I just can't drive them and I will not go from my cool WRX to a mini van Lol
I will need to fit a 5 year old with her BRITAX Pinnacle, the new baby in a chicco keyfit 30 and I'm look for the best convertible car seat for my then 14 month old that will fit best in a small-mid size suv or wagen. I would really like to stick with subarus like the crosstrek or the forester. Though I'm keeping an open mind about makes and models. Thank you

If you want to keep the Pinnacle, you'll probably need a wider vehicle.

Have you tried 3 seats in your current car? According to stats, the WRX actually has a wider back seat than the Forester or the Crosstrek. The Legacy & Outback wagons are a bit wider.

I don't know much about SUVs / crossovers, but I seem to remember the Toyota Venza is on the wider side.

I agree, I can't really imagine the Pinnacle working well in your final set-up. Any way you could switch out the Pinnacle for a Radian or an IMMI Go?

I have never tried a 3-across, but I have a 2010 Forester and a 2010 Impreza and when I have two outboard seats installed, there isn't much room left in the middle.

I would bet that 2 radians and a Keyfit would be your best option as far as seats. Use one of the radians FF for your 5 year old and then when the baby outgrows the Keyfit, move the 5 year old to a booster and pass that radian down to the baby to use RF (maybe grab a Scenara NEXT or a Coccoro as a narrow interim seat to use for the baby if the oldest isn't mature enough for a booster when the baby outgrows the Keyfit).

We considered a Crosstrek and while our seats aren't narrow seats, I'm not sure there is anything narrow enough to allow something to fit in the centre.

I could fit 3 across in the Venza when I tried it when we were car shopping. Unfortunately it was 4+ years ago and I don't recall what seats we had. There was likely a booster - maybe a Parkway or a Monterey and a Nautilus or Secure Kid and probably a Radian, thinking back on what I had for the kids then.

I have a 2009 impreza and a 2012 forester. Surprisingly it is just as difficult to get three across in the forester as it is in the Impreza. We always have one coccoro in the mix. We have had a cybex booster, coccoro and britax boulevard (not the click tight). It's tight to buckle but it worked fine.

OK, so it's not the coolest car in the world and is kind of a minivan (though I think the newer models are nice looking with the body style) but the Mazda 5 might be worth looking into as well. It has 6 seats: 2 front, 2 middle, and 2 rear.
