2005 Freestyle and Clek Fllo for Twins

I drive a 2005 Ford Freestyle and recently purchased two Clek Fllo carseats for my twin 8 month old boys. I installed the seats a few days ago side by side on the 60 portion of the 60/40 bench. I am 5'11'' and have long legs and with the seat behind the drivers seat there is little room for me to drive. I can't seem to figure out a way to configure these seats safely that will allow me to move the seat back appropriately for me. If I put the seats in the middle and to the right on the opposite side of the car I still cannot move the seat back due to the middle carseat which comes into contact with the drivers seat still (plus I lose access to the back). If I put the seats way in the back that doesn't seem very safe since I can't access them easily. Plus how do I get them in there? Does anyone have any suggestions? A similar scenario? The main reason I got the Clek Fllo was because I read it is good for tall people since it is more compact.

Are you using the anti-rebound bars? The Fllo takes up less front to back space without them, so installing without the bars might give you enough space.

If that still doesn't work, the 3rd row is definitely an option (assuming they fit back there, anyway). My 11 month old has been in the 3rd row of my Mazda 5 for about 6 months. You would have to load through the tailgate.

And finally, you'd probably do better with different car seats. The Fllo is very narrow, but not really that compact front to back. I'm not familiar with your 2nd row, but some Google images make it look like there are some big hinges on the center seat. Is that right? Is there one on the outboard seat, too?

You need two car seats, at least one of which plays well with hinges, that fit closely together, and don't take up much front to back space. If there isn't a big hinge outboard, a Diono Radian (with the angle adjuster accessory) might work there, which makes this problem easier to solve, but it almost certainly won't work in the center seat. A Graco "clone" (Size4Me/Fit4Me/MySize--same seat with slightly different features) might work well next to it.

I am using the anti rebound bars. I'll remove them to see if that helps. I'll also try the 3rd row. Thanks for your input and help!
