Spirit Airlines?

We have an upcoming flight on Spirit Airlines: home of the incredibly cramped seats. But it is the only direct flight...

Has anyone flown on them with a Britax Marathon? Did it fit???

It would definitely need to be forward facing. They list the narrowest seat size as 15 1/2” w x 25” h x 25” d. And the Marathon is definitely wider than 15.5" at its widest... but you can lift the arm rests, right? Their customer service representatives have been completely unhelpful.

I have flown with Spirit many times. I was able to fit a First Years True Fit into one of their seats easily, so you should have no problem fitting a Marathon in there. Hope that helps.

Yes, you will probably have to lift the armrest.

Re: to AllieK

We'll be on an A-319.

For that plane, on their website it says: The narrowest seat on our A-319 is 15 1/2” w x 25” h x 25” d. Rear-facing child restraint systems may not be accommodated if the height exceeds 25”.

I'm 90% sure we were on an Airbus A319 for one leg of our most recent vacation. The Marathon should be fine. You might even be able to RF it. The armrests do lift. The only challenge I see with the Marathon is that you're going to have to carry it over the top of the seats (and heads of other passengers) because it won't fit down the aisle.

We flew with an Evenflo SureRide (FF) & Maestro and had zero issues with those fitting. DH even forgot to raise the armrest when he installed the SureRide and I didn't even notice as it didn't effect the install.
