Exposed back of a seat with a no-rethread harness?

I noticed that the 4ever seat has an exposed back. This surprised me, since I thought that seats with their harness straps adjusted with the headrest had to have a plastic back to prevent the straps and splitter plate from catching on the vehicle seat when adjusted while forward-facing.

Does anyone have this seat? Is it hard to adjust while forward-facing? Are there other seats that have an exposed back and a no-rethread harness? I would love a seat like this because I like to pull the slack from the back when RF and easily access the splitter plate, but I also like a good no-rethread harness.

All of the G2-G4 Britax convertibles are exposed, that's one reason I love them so much.

every seat we have ever owned has an exposed back, I didn't realize there were seats out there that had them covered.

Our Maxi-Cosi Pria has a no rethread and the baby trend infant seat we had years ago was no rethread as well.

The only seat I've ever owned or even seen with a back cover was the Coccoro's little removable cover. Well, I'm trying to picture the back of the Pioneer, it's forward only and no rethread, but I can't picture a cover over the back.

We had a Pria and a Pioneer and never had any issue with the straps or splitter plate catching on the vehicle seat.

Thanks everyone! Wow! Well, I feel a little embarrassed. And frustrated that I didn't know that this was a thing. The only seats I have with a no-re thread harness are a Nextfit and a BLVD Clicktight and so I thought a smooth plastic back was the price I had to pay for a no-re thread harness! I guess I never looked closely at the backs of other seats in the stores.

ETA: Also, how ironic that the Cocorro HAS a back and *doesn't* have a no-re thread harness?

FYI, just in case you were thinking of the Pria, I found it very hard to adjust the strap height, especially forward facing.

I never had issue adjusting the height, but I was one of the ones that found it damned near impossible to tighten or loosen easily.
