Tether won't stay in My ride

I just installed a my ride in a family members car earlier today. It appears that someone unhooked the tether from the seat by removing it from the seat, and I can't get it back in. Is there a way to get it back in there, or did this person just make this a seat that should only be used rear facing?

Oh, wow! That's crazy. I can't remember how the MyRide tether looks. It may be that it is supposed to loop around or something, and it would be a simple fix, or that they ruined it. Maybe someone who owns one can chime in with a pic or something.

Ok, maybe turning it long ways, if they can do that. I m not sure it could be done, because it's blocked by the foam in the front. You can't turn it from the front. It is a metal retainer plate, and it does slip into the slot. Then it kept slipping back out. I didn't know to turn it sideways, and was trying to do this quickly in a parking lot. We do have one, but I didn't want to mess with that one. The person who did it played dumb about it, but it would seem it had to be worked out of there. This is in a car were the tether blocks the trunk and runs across the back all the way. So, I'm thinking rather than removing it properly from the hook when the trunk was needed, this person did it by working it out of the seat.

Yeah, sometimes people find the most difficult way to solve simple problems, don't they?

Once, someone took the tethers off their Britaxes because the manual described "Swedish" and "Australian" RF tethering, and they figured it didn't apply to them since they were in the US. Oy.

I know a 3yr old whos FFing in a MR. The seat was SO reclined... knew immediately that the feet were folded in. I offered to fix it, that's when I noticed the feet were GONE!. They cut them because they were always in the way.
