Seatbelt extenders.

One of my Facebook friends is saying Toyota will get you one for free to install your carseat. You can't do this right? Is there a link to prove it or just it's not in the manual?

My understanding is that vehicle manufacturers will provide one for adults that are too large for the seatbelt on its own. I've never seen a vehicle manual that stated they can be used for car seat installs. I'm not even sure what the advantage would be for using one for that, I see no reason to need a longer seatbelt for a car seat at all.

They are free but Toyota specifically prohibits using them for car seats (or at least this used to be the case).
