Say something?

I have a FB friend. I've only ever met her online, zero mutual friends, so it's a slightly odd situation to begin with.

I've seen her post car seat safety links, like why you shouldn't buckle kids in in their puffy coats and stuff like that.

She just posted a driver seat selfie with both of her kids in frame, asleep in their FF Apts. The older one has outgrown it by shoulder height; the younger needs the harness raised to the top slots.

Do I send her a PM?

I wouldn't PM, but if you post a link to an article that includes how to tell if your seat is adjusted correctly/outgrown, maybe she would look at it and realize she needs a new seat & to adjust the other one.

That's a good call. I'm having trouble finding a good link. Anyone have one?

I wouldn't hesitate to send her a PM, personally. I think posting a link and mentioning something about your own mistakes is too vague and indirect. If she doesn't have time to look at it or glances at it and thinks "I already know about car seat safety" and doesn't read it, then it does her and her kids no good. Since she has posted her own car seat safety links, I would assume that she is motivated to do the right thing and would be responsive to a polite and helpful PM. What's the worst that can happen? You don't even know her in real life and have no mutual friends. If she is irritated, then at worst you've made her aware of the situation and shared with her your common interest in child passenger safety.

So it's possible I got her confused with someone else on the car seat safety links. I looked through her timeline, back 18 months or so, and didn't see anything. I did see an older picture of one of her kids in a Nautilus (I think) but the angle obscured the top of the harness.

Well, I actually had to raise the harness today on DS1's FR90, so I posted a thing. And then she posted more pictures of her kids minutes later. I think they're on vacation. I kind of doubt she'll see it.
