This is more of a notice than a question.
When we checked in to the Ottawa Airport today, the Air Canada agent did not want to let us gate-check our booster seat. We've never had problems before - including as recently as February this year, but today we were strongly discouraged from gate-checking (read: we had to argue, politely, to be allowed to). The agent stated that A) there are no concerns about checking a seat, and B) if the seat didn't make it our destination, there are absolutely a "whole room" of seats that Air Canada will lend us, apparently regardless of where we are flying.
I don't actually have a lot of faith in either statement above, especially since we have a super-tight turnaround at our connection, due to Air Canada changing our flight...
So- heads up. We'll see what they say when we board - we do have a gate-check tag. We have an Olli Clek, so it's even a small booster seat, but they weren't sure it will fit in the overhead bin in the cabin.
