Question Britax Click & Safe Snug Harness Indicator Not Clicking

I just bought a Britax Advocate Clicktight about a week ago for my 10-month old baby. When I tried it out in my living room, the Click & Safe Snug Harness Indicator seemed to work fine. After installing it rear facing in my car, the Click & Safe Snug Harness Indicator would click but the harness would be too tight. I used the pinch test instead of relying on the Click & Safe Snug Harness Indicator usually. But I noticed today that the Click & Safe Snug Harness Indicator would not click at all. I checked the harness belt path and it seemed fine. Do I have a defective Click & Safe Snug Harness Indicator? Or, do I need to check the harness belt path more carefully?

I usually have the opposite problem. On most seats with this feature i find it clicks before sufficiently tight. Since I've never heard of others with this opposite problem I would suggest calling Britax.
