Low back booster vs high back video

I have read so many times that low back boosters are just as safe as high back boosters if the child can stay in position without the added support. But apparently Britax is the UK is campaigning against the LBB. http://www.driving.co.uk/news/brita...0150716-_-Driving-_-209022442&linkId=15617481

Just thought the video was interesting and that i would share! To me it seems like the shoulder belt guide is the important part and not so much the headwinds and SIP as the kid is thrown forward so much right impact.

Well, for one, they are trying to sell something. And second, if be willing to bet that shoulder roll-out happened because the belt was locked. Something doesn't look right in the nbb dummy...

Something does look off but I can't put my finger on what. Maybe someone who has watched more crash test videos can help...

Interesting video.
I don't choose to use NBB BUT the reality is for 3 in a row, I ended up with some. I tried everything and 9 YO is in a Topside (only one that fit). And 6 YO is in a Clek as seat must fold down easily (but at least it has rigid latch and I can even KEEP it latched and fold seat). Cool!

If Britax wants HBB then that's awesome but I want them NARROW.
Yet, Britax sells NBB, right? I think we have a Parkway for a spare and my aunt said the back fell off so it's being used that way.

I like the SIP of HBB in case of side impact, if they are hit just right. If they made them to fit me, I'd love it! In our spare car we have 2 HBB Recaros for my bigger kids.

Since this is from the UK division at Britax and UK spec cars don't have locking seat belts I'd actually assume that that's probably not the case. Besides that the crash pre tentioners would lock the belts in any crash so the belts would have locked on both seats. It does make one wonder if having a solid belt guide to fit the child, especially a smaller one, does in fact make a seat safer.

The dummy on the backless is an older P dummy, the one in the HBB is a newer Q dummy. From what I've read I've gathered that it's a known fact that Q dummies move differently than P dummies. I.e. look here [scroll down] -- there's a bunch of crash tests of a HBB -- watch some with the Q3 and some with the P10. The P10 moves quite a lot like the smaller P dummy in the Britax's test, even in a HBB.
