Big shout out to Baby News!

I had such a horrible time getting our Roundabout installed in our latest rental a 08 Saturn Vue that I wanted to get it checked out by a tech. I read that the Baby News store in town had an on site tech.

We pulled up and I found out that this particular store has a tech and does inspections and installations free of charge no matter if you bought the seat from them or not. Five minutes after arriving he was reinstalling it in the center! The only charge is $2 if you need a noodle (and even then it's a donation.)

In Los Angeles where we just moved from there is no store even close to this. I find this sadly ironic since people probably spend more time in their cars in LA than anywhere else. The only store I knew of that offered a tech to do installations charged $25 for it and she was only there on Wednesdays. This is why I wanted to start a home visit car seat inspection/installation service. This store was THE store to register with but now looking back at their carseat advice it was laughable.

So anyway kudos to my new local Baby News store!

PS is there a way on this site, to add locations that do free inspections and installations?

What city is this store located in? So we can all go visit when we are nearby? LOL

We have a Baby News store, called Segals for Children and they do the same thing! It's great. I was there for an hour and they installed three seats, two that were not bought there.
