Who will explain to my DH WHY I just HAD to get a Parkway for $42?

LOL! I followed you all over to Amazon and put a Tiffany parkway in my shopping cart, got 10% off TWICE, applied for the Amazon Visa (I never do those promotions, BTW) (will cancel asap!) and got the Parkway for $42!!!! OK. DD is not ready for it yet, and I know, I know it is only good for 6 yrs, but that being said, if she starts using it occasionally next year at 5.5 yrs old, she can use it until she is 10.5 yrs old. I just couldn't pass up the deal. I missed out on Cowmoo, though, bummer!

because by spending that money you SAVED YOURSELF $60!!!! so if you subtract the $40 you spent... from the $60 you saved, you really only spent $20! :ROTFLMAO:

LMAO!!!!!!! Actually, it cost me less than a Turbobooster would cost, so that alone is amazing to me. Oh yeah, nevermind the FREE SHIPPING!!!!!

lol!!! That is exactly why I haven't bought anything yet. My dh sees no need for any seats other than what we have:( Otherwise I would've purchased 2 onyx regents and had my mom order one so I could've gotten them each for 169!! Grr...darn budgeting!!

I am trying to figure out how I can justify getting a Radian for $159. I don't really need a 5th seat for my child, but I want to play with it. Also If I start doing training workshops I could use it. Then I could write it off. Decisions Decisions

If you want to explain to my DH why I bought a Recaro Vivo Lite for $71.60 (then minus $30 from the Amazon Visa thing- which I NEVER do, I'm going to pay it off and cancel immediately- wound up costing $41.60), then I'll explain to yours

I could not pass that deal up for a Recaro booster. We have a PW and FPSV booster for carpooling, but I hate the FP and I've been jonesing for a Vivo Lite since they came out. I'm looking at it more as being a thrifty spender than wasting money on a seat we don't really, actually need ;)

Yeah, we are of the same mindset:D I almost got a Vivo, BUT changed my mind and got the PW.

How did you get those for that price? WOW
In the main car seat forum there is a thread about the sale at amazon. 10% off selected baby stuff and 10% off again and free shipping from (not partner stores) Then, if you are crazy like me, you can get $30 off your total by applying for and using the amazon visa card.

Score! :) You could tell your DH you saved over $100 by not buying a Monarch at MSRP. ;) No need to mention if Amazon's deal would have applied to the Monarch, too, right? ;)

because you saved a lot of money. If he saw a deal like that on something he wanted, he would have snatched it up and had it home before you even knew where he went. (At least that's what I would've done :p )

Ask him to justify his guy "toy" purchases. Hunting, fishing, golfing, car, hobby, etc. stuff. That, or just tell him that you promise not to bug him about a future "under $100" purchase that he makes, and stick to your promise. No eye rolling. No dirty looks. No recriminations. No bringing it up in a future arguement, etc.

No- he's actually not like that. He earns it all and spends nothing. He always discusses his few (usually software or tools) purchases with me, but I never ask about mine. I meant it more tongue in cheek- as in "oh great! another carseat!" because it's just never-ending with me!

ROFL! You've got him well trained eh? ;) So you are in effect attempting to justify your seat purchase to yourself huh?

I think you got a fabulous deal on a really great seat. Be happy with your purchase.

Your hubby is exactly like mine. He is wonderful and lets me buy what I want. I don't go overboard. Mine is the bread winner in the family too and also never spends money on himself. I do earn $ working a couple of Saturday's a month at my old lender job at the bank and I do watch two children during the week so that helps too. Nothing like his paycheck though. I always try to find deals on items that I purchase though, especially those large $ purchases. He loves that about me. :D
