Difficulty tightening MyRide

I installed our old MyRide65 last night for ds2 to try (trying all my old seats, lol)

I put him In it this morning and I couldn't get the straps to tighten! He has the insert in and is on the lowest slot, though he might be okay on the second lowest. I even tried pushing the harness adjust button and tugging. Can't get to the straps behind the seat to pull on due to the cover and being on the lower slots.

I got fed up and put him back in his Keyfit.

Tried tightening the straps in the garage when it was uninstalled tonight and it tightened just fine. What gives?

I'm failing out of convertibles...I'm not feeling the coccoro love, either, though I hope it grows on me.

Do you have the harness on the smallest loop setting? Is it routed under the plate on the back?

It was a seatbelt install, passenger side in a 2010 Hyundai Elantra.

It was on the shortest loops and routed under the plate. It wouldn't even tug at all.
