I need to buy a new Monterey in surf...

$140 on Amazon (Free shipping, Free returns)

$99 on Albee Baby (Free shipping only)

There is nowhere I can see one in person, and I'm not sure how long the Diono sale lasts on Albee...

Would you buy a sight-unseen newish booster from a place where you couldn't/wouldn't return??

"Regular" parents probably wouldn't think twice... but of course, I am!

I would not buy a car seats from a retail location that takes returns.
The question to ask your self here is. Would you buy a parachute from amazon to use for your self? No?
Then do not support a retail company that knows nothing about car seat safety.

I don't know albee baby but they have been around since 1933 selling baby products. Buy a the product designed to save your kids life from people who do it for a living..

Albee Baby takes returns, just doesn't offer free returns.

I would probably buy from albee baby because it's $50 cheaper. However, I have purchased several seats from amazon.

I have a different view than the PP. I would not buy from a retailer that did not accept returns. I know how different each car seat fits each child, and how different each car seat fits different vehicles.

I've bought one seat from Albee, the Snugride 35 I bought for Ella. The ONLY reason I felt comfortable doing so was because I already owned a Snugride 32 and had used it for my first two and I knew the seats were identical. I got a killer deal on that seat which was awesome but I have not bought a seat from them since. That's just a huge risk to take on getting stuck with something that doesn't work.

I've bought multiple car seats from AlbeeBaby and never had a problem with them. But I've never had to return any seats either. In my experience all of my seats were manufactured under 3 months from when I ordered so it's not like they sell close to expired seats on sale or anything like that. The boxes were always undamaged upon receiving as well and the manufacturing stickers match on the box & seat so no funny switcharoos happening either. Oh and I receive the seats within a week of ordering if not by pre-order. What I love about the site is they have constant sales & 20% coupon codes if not on sale, no sales tax & no shipping fees above a certain amount. They're awesome!

What did you not like about the seat?

As a side note, I ordered last night from Amazon... they have it listed at $139 for a week or so delivery, and also at $99.99 for a June 30 - July 11 delivery. I ordered the $99 one since DS can continue to use the Frontier 85 until it arrives. This morning I received an email stating that my delivery date had been moved up... estimated delivery June 9 - 12! Woo-hoo!
