Our school took a field trip to the pumpkin patch today. I was going to have to be in charge of one of the other teacher's 18mo DD. She has all kinds of carseat no-no's that I could go on about, but I won't. But she did turn her DD around at 9 months! And she's in a AOE, so she definitely didn't meet the 22lb/34" rule for those seats.
Anyways - her DD was going to have to ride with me out to the pumpkin patch. I informed her on Tuesday that her DD would be riding rf, but would have my DS1 & DS2 back there to keep her company (DS2 is rf still too). She flipped out and said that her DD would be so uncomfortable because she's got long legs and they'd have no where to go. She also told me that her DD would freak out because she's been ff for so long. She didn't act happy, but didn't demand that I keep her ff, so I let it go. She's a good friend, but she doesn't understand my passion - or carseat stuff at all. A cop made her buy a booster for her barely 30lb 3yo since she wouldn't keep her harnessed.
So anyways, I was very nervous about how she would act today when she saw my van with 2 rf MAs in the middle row. She didn't say a word and her DD was sooooooooo happy! She kicked and laughed the entire way there and snoozed the entire way home!
So my van is a 2000 Chevy Venture WB, with 3 seats in the middle row. I had two rf MAs side by side and DS1's radian on the passenger side outboard.
And on a side note - the second MA I borrowed from a friend. My husband noticed a small difference in size between our MA (which is an '07 DOM) and my friend's (which is an '05 DOM). It's kind of noticeable in the picture - but it's a little more reclined. But even in our living room my MA had a higher back than my friend's. Wierd, huh? :scratcheshead:
