Sometimes I forget...

...that I'm the weird one.

Ran back to my car after day care drop off this morning. Was mildly horrified to see such a young kid FF in the next car over.

And then I realized HE'S THREE. And older than my DS2, who I relented to turn FF in DH's vehicle when he turned 3 and just never got around to it.

In my defense, that particular kid is inappropriately filed as "giant 10 month old" in my brain. He and DS2 were in the same class when that was an appropriate classification for him, and I don't see him that often anymore.

LOL, the other day we were parked for an extended period of time while DH was doing something so I let both boys out of their car seats and put down DS 2 very briefly in DS1's Maestro, and just the thought of him FF terrified me and then I realized he was 11 months old, the same age a few of my friends have turned their kids...

Yeah, when I was reading all the comments about the New Jersey law, I was thinking, "oh good, this will help me justify to my in-laws that we should keep my daughter RF." Then I remembered that my daughter is already 2 years old and that my in-laws hadn't started REALLY advocating for her to be turned around until after she turned two. So in a lot of ways, they are probably already much more progressive than their other grandparent friends.
