Flying with 9 month old on Allegiant with Diono Rainier

Hello!
My husband and I will be flying with our 9 month old with Allegiant. We will be bringing our Diono Rainier on board for our little guy. Anyone have any tips /advice in installing the Rainier rear-facing on an Allegiant plan? I plan on asking for a seat belt extender, in case we need it. Is the installation fairly simple? Our seats are the first row, so I believe we will have a little more "leg room".
Any tips / advice is appreciated :)

Thanks!

You WILL need the extender, otherwise you will never get the seat off of the plane! Haha.
There are some awesome YouTube videos showing you how to use the extender to install your seat - and there's no way I can describe it coherently in words.
