Hi, I have a friend who is looking for a seat that will keep her DD harness as long as possible, baby is 2 years old, 50 pounds and around 15 inches in torso height, she is between the Argos 80 and the Frontier 90

A 50# 2yo needs the highest capacity seat possible, so the Frontier would be a better choice.

Although it sounds like this kid isn't terribly tall or long waisted, so the height of the Frontier is probably unnecessary. The Recaro ProSport is another one to look at. It also harnesses to 90 pounds, but "only" has 18.5" top harness slots. And it's much more likely to work if they ever need a side by side install.

The ProSport has been replaced by the Performance Sport, which only harnesses to 65 lbs.

I'm trying to extrapolate from the torso height, and thinking around 38" standing height?

Regardless, I'd go with the Frontier, just to be safe and ensure that the harness will last until the child is 5+ years old. The Argos is fine for most children, but this is not an average kid
