First of all, nobody is hurt.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can take apart a Foonf to see what happened after it was occupied in a crash? I want to check out the REACT. It was a pre-order if that makes any difference.
Backstory:
My dear friend's '12 Odyssey got hit on the passenger side last night. Her DD (3 yo, 31 lbs) was on that side, 2nd row, FF in my DS's spare Foonf, LATCH without seatbelt--so full benefit from the REACT. :jive: They couldn't get any of the doors open on that side, but her DD is fine. Luckily she was falling asleep just before impact so was very relaxed. She is not even sore today. My friend has some soreness still in her abdomen on her left side. She thinks the seat belt may have been twisted over that spot. I am not exactly sure about the extent of the damage/severity of the crash as my friend was still majorly freaked out when I spoke with her soon after the crash, but she said there was antifreeze leaking out in addition to the damage to the doors. She was going about 30 mph before a car turned into her, but had time to slam on the breaks leaving a big skid mark. The airbags did not deploy, but she mentioned something about some sensor or light going off???. The Foonf is still in the van, which got towed to the body shop. I want to take it apart after all the insurance stuff gets finalized. I am curious if I can see anything in the REACT. The other driver (at fault) has State Farm. I already emailed her all the info (manuals, NHTSA crash severity guidelines, etc) to try to make sure they they don't give them the run around about replacing the Foonf and the empty Argos that was also in the van. Her DH will be dealing with them and is absolutely not a person to mess with about this like this so I am confident it will happen eventually.
ETA: Mods, if this is off-topic, please move. I wasn't sure where to put it.
