2015 Toyota Tacoma access cab

My mom just got a 2015 Toyota Tacoma access cab (with fold down seats) and we are looking for a 5pt harness seat that will fit on the access seats. Front seat is not an option because I have 4 yr old twins. Are there any 5pt harness seats that will fit safely in the Tacoma access cab? Related question: are the RideSafer 2 travel vests appropriate?

According to this, there are tether anchors. From https://www.cars.com/articles/2015/02/trucks-tether-anchors-are-often-tricky-to-find-use/ :

"In the 2015 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab with rear seats (photo above), first remove the tether anchor and tether routing device covers. Install the car seat using the lower Latch anchors or seat belt and then route the tether strap through the routing anchor, which is found at the top of the seatback. Then connect the tether hook to the tether anchor on the side of the seat and tighten the tether strap."

Having shared that, what are the heights and weights of your twins? Are they particularly long in the torso? These things will affect the recommendations you receive [emoji3]

Thanks for the quick replies. The Turbobooster looks like it fits well but does not have a 5pt harness. I am happy to have the info about the tether anchor because I tried our Cosco Scenera seats in the truck and could not tighten the tether strap as much as I wanted to since the anchor is directly behind the seat. The front of the Scenera seats are completely off the truck seat so they are not an option.

My girls turned 4 in January and are approximately 29lbs/38" and 32lbs/40". They are not long in the torso.

It looks like the Evenflo Secure Kid or Maestro both have a shallow seat pan. The Secure Kid is a nicer Maestro with, I believe, slightly higher harnessing capacity and a more height-adjustable booster function.

My mom went to Babies R' Us and tried the Evenflo SecureKid because she thought it would work, but it does not. Also tried a few others (not sure which ones). Also tried the Graco Nautilus (my brother has one). We will look at the specs for the Maestro (unless my mom already tried it). Seems that we may be out of luck to find a regular child seat until they are old/big enough for a booster. Is anyone familiar with the Ride Safer vests that convert a regular seat belt to a 5pt harness? This may be our only option for the Tacoma access cab. I am going to try calling the dealership too.

With as small as they are, have you thought about Diono seats, especially the R100, R120, or RXT? Normally I wouldn't recommend them for 4 year olds, but your girls are so tiny that they would get to a safe booster age in them easily.

ETA: hopefully someone more knowledgeable about the vests will chime in, but I was under the impression that ideally they are not used for a child who is not ready for a booster. I could be wrong.

What about a FF convertible for them? The MyRide, Complete Air, and Sureride all have pretty shallow seat depths and won't break the bank.

The RSTV has a minimum weight of 30 pounds so it might be an option for the larger one.

We decided to purchase the RideSafer2 vests. They turn a lap/shoulder belt into a 5pt harness and have a crotch strap and tether strap. If we do not like them (ordered online) then we will revisit the last few suggestions. Thanks for your help!
