But I think seat shells weren't typically that color until recently, so maybe 2006, would be my guess...

ROFL. :D Could it be any more cryptic to decipher, good grief. It reminds me of a MENSA quiz question or the graphics from a weather forecast with the moon phase included.

I think it's a manufacturing date.

Shift 1
10th month (so, October)
13th day
year 6 - 1996 I guess ?

:yeahthat: (almost anyways)

I'm guessing 2006 unless it's a REALLY old seat. You'd likely be able to tell if it was made in 96 or 06 though.

October 14th, 1996 is my guess. The first symbol is on a "1" which to me means 1900. If it was a on the "2" then I would say 2000.

I was thinking that at first, too... but then why even have the 3 there? I think Kashi is right about it being the factory shift that made that seat... there are 3 shifts in a work day.

october 14 2006.
They were not made prior to 1998 so cannot be 1996.
The seats stamp date is from 2000 to 2009
The 1-3 is for Evenflo reference, batch number/shift number etc.

It should match the sticker on the seat within 3 months post october.
However with the modifying of dates by Warwack in NZ it is unlikely to match at all.

Blue bases from memory started around 2002. They are now black in discovery and grey in portabout.

HTH

I am on an evenflo strike atm.
