Top Tether age

We're getting ready to buy a new van (either a sienna or an odyssey) and I'm trying to determine how big of a deal it would be to go with a 2011 sienna and lose the extra top tethers (I'm finding it hard to locate a 2010 sienna!).
We currently have a 3 yo and a 1yo with another on the way.

At what age do you typically stop using the top tethers? (I'm in Canada)

Booster age? I would say 5-7 years old, or so.

Top tethers are mandatory in Canada, so MUST be used with all FFg harnessed seats. There is no "age" at which using a TT isn't mandatory. However, children can move to a belt-positioning booster when they are developmentally ready after the weight minimum of 40lbs. Many children are ready to use a booster seat around age 5-ish (assuming they are at least 40lbs), many other children are not ready at that age.

Your children do not need a TT until they are FFg in a harnessed seat and your 3 and 1 yo (and new baby) could all be RFg.

Mods, can this thread be move to the Cdn forum? Thx
