Differences in Odysseys 2010 and newer? Yes more minivan advice!

Sorry for yet another minivan thread. From my reading here it seems 2011 and newer is recommended for Odys. What are the differences from older models? We are in the market and I'd love an Ody but it looks like 2010 might be the newest within our budget (20-23K, preferably the lower side)

SO insists we just need a base model and not a lot of bells and whistles, but seeing as I'm the one that will most frequently be driving it I do want some features to spoil me!! We have two RF, one FF, and a booster rider and need space for 1-2 other booster riders for carpool.

With that many kids to haul around you at least need an 8 seater, which I don't think you can get on the very lowest trim line.

In terms of seating, there were some cool things you could do if you removed a seat on the previous generation of the Ody, but you'll need all the seats. The +1 seat in the center 2nd row is super narrow with no tether anchor, so finding something that works there can be tricky. Here's the thread that details everything people have gotten to work there. http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=88571&page=6

The other challenge will be making the 3 across work. Here's another relevant thread: http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=33226

What car seats do you have right now?

The newer generation has similar challenges with that many car seats, although the details, especially for the +1 seat, are very different.

Most likely we won't have all those in the vehicle at the same time, but yes an 8 seater is a must I agree. I'm definitely open to new seats if needed.
