Tethering in a third split seat in a 2005 Dodge Caravan??

Pixelated, I responded to your pm but I'm not sure if they went through because they are not showing up in my messages. Hopefully they did.

And for anyone following this thread, I emailed the CPS advocate at Chrysler.com and she said it was the right part but could only be used for seats that are not stow and go and not for 50/50 split seats which is what we have so I can't add another tether. So at least I know and we can move on to try something else either a Britax seat with a V shaped tether or find a 2001 bench seat. I also have an Evenflo Big Kid booster on the way to try.

The part is installed simply by looping it through the proper spot in the floor and the tether hooking on the d-ring. But the split seats use all the holes in the floor leaving no where to loop it.

I had the same part, and it was "Installed" by the dealership. Basically they looped it around the seat belt hardware under the vehicle seat. I should have pics somewhere, let me look.

Here are the pics. This was for a 2002 Caravan with full bench.

Okay thanks! yes that is the same part. Hmmm if there is the same seat belt hooks under our split seats maybe that would work?? Although CPS advocate specifically say that it couldn't be used for split seats because it needs to be installed in the hooks in the floor where the seats click into. I wonder if this is safe to be attached to the seatbelt hooks and have the seatbelt used to install the seat????
I've already sent the part back but thanks for the visual and I'll keep the option in mind for the future. Right now I think I'm getting a Frontier to work in the middle with the v shaped tether. Although I'd prefer an outboard install to make the rest of the seat more usable.
