We are expecting a newborn to join our family in March 2015, and the seat in our main car our older child (born 2009) is using expires March 2015, so we need to get 2 new seats.

Child #1 just turned 6 (Feb birthday), and is using:
Evenflo AMP High Back Car Seat Booster in a 2001 Honda Accord (expires Aug 2020)
and
The First Years True Fit Convertible Car Seat in a 2002 Honda Accord (expires March 2015)
Current measurements: 3 ft 8" (44") tall and 38lbs
Just switched to the top harness slot in the True Fit
Forward facing and seatbelt installed in both seats (never used LATCH)

Child #2 - size unknown, but child #1 was born at 7lbs 3oz and 19" inches so we are expecting someone similarly sized.

The two seats I have had recommended to me by friends for child #1 are the Harmony Defender and the Britax Frontier/Pinnacle - I am leaning towards the Harmony but have yet to see it in person. For child #2 I am considering the Graco Head Wise 70 that I have seen in the stores here, but haven't had a chance to try putting the two seats next to each other in the car while I have child #1 along to test the fit. A recent suggestion I received was to buy another Evenflo AMP or move it between the cars as needed rather than buying a new seat.

I'm stuck, and hoping to get into a store soon that has the seats to look at, but worried that I should go ahead and order online so that I have the new seats in time. What do people recommend for 2 seat combinations in the older Accords? I'm currently thinking one seat will go in the middle (probably the NB seat, since the True Fit had to be center installed) and the other seat will go on the rear passenger side.

Hi there, I'm bumping up your thread to hopefully get some input on carseats for your Accord, and congrats in advance (or congrats belatedly perhaps now that it's March) on the new addition to your family. :)
