Would You Get a New Incognito?

My DD, 9, normally rides in an incognito. She rode in a topside today and the lap belt was literally half way down her thighs and provided no leg support, though she's only 53' tall :( . So it looks like our best option is the incognito. We already have one in black, because that was the only color available when I bought it. However, my interior is light tan. Should I order an incognito in tan? Do they really blend in so well that you can't tell it's a booster? She hates riding in a booster but knows it's non-neogitiable for at least a couple more years. My DS was 5' and 120 lbs at 9 so this is new territory for me.

Sorry, I don't understand the question. Would I get one to (1) replace the topside, so she has something that fits her better, or to (2) replace the black incognito, so that it matches the interior and makes her more comfortable?

For the first, yes, without hesitation.

At this point, my kids love their seats and don't care what others' think, so for the second, this is pure speculation. But if that were to change and I had an option that fit her and worked well enough I thought she'd be using it for the rest of her booster time and she had genuine discomfort about others' knowing she was in a booster (not just being sassy, but genuine feelings) and I could afford to, yes, I'd do it. As far as how well it will match, unless someone else has your vehicle and incognito, I think only having it in hand will really answer that. I'd order from amazon.com, so I could easily return if it didn't. HTH.

I have light gray and dark gray incognitos. The dark gray one actually blends very well with the medium gray interior of my son's 2001 Ford Taurus. The light one blended okay with my other son's 2005 Mercury Sable. The tan one didn't blend with the light tan seats of my 2005 Dodge Caravan, but the light gray actually blended okay. I guess it would be less noticeable than the black one. I love our incognitos. But my son 5 steps in all of our vehicles (he is the size of the neighbors 11 and 12 year olds) so he won't use them much longer.
