Okay - i found the PERFECT type of dance pants for E. He is an irish dancer and typical "dress slacks" do not cut it in terms of fit and fabric. My only problem is that i found these perfect pants at a consignment sale and they are last seasons "fashion" so i can no longer buy a new pair from the store.
They are Cherokee brand (eg Target) black pants that have pockets and are very slightly boot cut, or even a full straight cut maybe. The tag on them said "Essentials" but it doesn't say that word anywhere on the pants. They are not super skinny, but rather fitted. The key is the fabric content - 96% polyester, 4% spandex.
I scour ebay daily but I am not having much luck and E will need the next size sooner rather than later. And Target did come out with a newer version but they either are the super skinny cut which just looks odd on him, or they have embellishments on the back pockets.
Anyone have a size 7 or 8 in their daughters closet they want to sell me???
