Six year old in a cargo van?

Can my six year old sit in the passenger seat (booster) of a 2005 Chevy express cargo van? With airbag turned off? Wouldn't be very often, only if absolutely necessary. I'm hoping a low back booster will work so he can keep it in the van, but we could do a HBB if needed. Thanks!

That sounds like an appropriate solution for very occasional/emergency transport. Remember that any cargo should be secured (and not just with a cage if present but tied down to prevent loading on the front seats.) In this case I'd want a backless to keep him as far back as possible.

Yes, that sounds fine. I have the same van (passenger version). Love that airbag switch

Also, in case you have a younger passenger at any time, there's a tether anchor for that front seat.

Great! Thank you! I tried her in the backless with the clip attached the the strap thing and it seemed to fit her well. It's good to have the option if we need it.
