old thread about pricing car seats

I can't find that thread about pricing used car seats. There was a thread on it a long time ago. It took into account how many years the seat had left.

Can anyone help me find it? I have a CCO to sell on swap and want to price it right.

I don't know where the old thread is, but take the current price of the seat, divide by months of lifespan, multiply by months remaining.

So if a seat costs $210 new and has a 7-year lifespan and 4 years remaining, you'd divide the $210 by 84 and get 2.5, and multiply by 48 to get $120.

I'd add that you should probably also deduct some from that amount since that would be a fair price for a NEW seat of that age, and you'd likely be selling a used one (that has been sat in and whatnot).

If you're selling to people "in the know," you could ask more for popular retired covers and stuff, but most people won't care about that.
