Britax.....

Whats the scoop here?
They are known for not being good for tall children because of outgrowing the shell earlier than they say for max height. I just read on carseatblog that she says the new click tights are better for taller torso than the old britax.

The new click tights are better because they allow you to use the seat rear facing until the child's head is one inch from the headrest fully extended instead of one inch from the top of the shell. I am so glad they changed the rules!

There are a lot of hopes that once they release the anti-rebound bar it will increase leg room. Of corse at this point it's pure speculation.

It doesn't look like the one for the G4 seats did anything for legroom at all. It just looks like a flat paddle that goes between the seat and vehicle seat back.

I took ds2's true fit out to wash the cover and give it all a good wipe down. Installed the britax marathon 70 for 24 hrs while it washed and dried.

Absolutely hated running errands that day with top of the charts ds2 who is 21 mo. It was awful. The britax sat up higher, with higher sides and no leg room at all. I was cursing that seat after stuffing him in and out of the little gap and he had no where to put his legs while I tried to do the crotch strap. I was very happy to re install the true fit today.

We just got an Advocate CT last week for our almost 14 month old daughter. She's our third and we've had several Britax seats before. This will definitely last WAY longer than our previous ones, both rear and forward facing. I'm pretty sure she'll be able to rear face to 4 and use it all the way to age 6 or even 7 (if I wanted to). And just so you know, the Blvd and Advocate are taller than the Marathon by about 2 inches. You can even compare that on Britax website. ;)
