We recently had a death in the family (yesterday) and have to fly home tomorrow. Because of time constraints and a couple thousand dollars in plane tickets, we have decided to do lap child with our 6 month old. I know that it is not the safest option, but right now we don't have a choice. What I need to know is how do I go about bringing his infant seat. There is no way that I am checking his Marathon, but I do have a Snugride that he still fits very well in (I just prefer him in the Marathon because he looks more comfortable). So do I check it with our luggage, gate check it, or bring it on the plane just in case they have an extra seat that we can use? Any help would be appreciated. This is our first child, so first time traveling with one.
