Booster fit to child and car

This is DDs new recaro probooster. Does fit look okay in pictures 1-3? The headrest is too low in picture 4 right? I'm also unsure how it is supposed to fit in the car. It's my understanding that the probooster doesn't require the car headrest but I'd prefer to leave it if possible. The headrest doesn't lean forward but the top if the seat is a bit concave. There is room between the top of the seat and the booster (it's hard to get a photo but I can slide my hand between, especially as I move up the booster headrest). Is this space an issue? If so, should I take out the vehicle headrest or should I keep looking for a booster. I purchased this one with free returns and am not 100% sold (but that could be lack of being sold on the idea of boosters). Forgot to say, the car is a 2010 subaru outback.

Headrest in three or four looks good. Four won't last long, though.

For later, I'd remove the headrest.
