nextfit & Britax questions

I am usually only mobile and ever since the background changed to orange on my app on my phone I have been unable to start a thread.

The other day dd peed in her Britax advocate and so I had to wash the cover the spongy foam that she sits on that goes under the cover ripped and I can't find one of the pieces. It is only $7.99 to replace but $14 to ship on Britax's website OMG that is a lot in shipping. Anyone know if I can get the shipping cheaper? Also when googling for Britax info I found out that there is a recall on my Advocate something to do with the hugs pads being a choking hazard I was never even notified :(

DD is now riding RF in our spare seat that we normally use for my FF niece which is a chico nextfit. When reading the manual it says not to use the top tether in the rear facing position is this correct because I know it also says you can't use the seat without the strap covers but that has been changed.

Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays everyone!

You cannot use a tether rear facing with the nextfit, that's correct. :) Only a few brands allow that.

I'd suggest calling Britax and asking about both issues. If you're getting a recalled part shipped too they may discount shipping for you, never hurts to ask! The worst they can say is no

Also I was very bummed when they said that the new britax b safe is not available for purchase until March :(
