How much longer will a Britax Frountier last as harnes over a Maestroe

Hi,

I need a new car seat for my 5 year old. He was in an Evenflow Maestro, but during a cleaning season while the kids were away, it had an accident. (Tractor vs Car Seat - need I say more!!)

My son is 45" and 43lb. I had planned to keep him in the maestro until max size / weight then go too booster mode. Now, I am wondering how long it would realistically last in harness mode.

I have looked at the size and weight refrances, and I know all kids grow at different rates, however does anyone have any practice advice / experience of how much longer a Britax Frounteir will last over an Evenflow Maestro. I am wondering how much longer I will get for the $300 differance.

The frontier gives you another 2.5 inches or so of harness. The maestro is 18 inches and the frontier 20.5 and then the differences in weight limits and the frontier is a more practical booster as it has an adjustable head rest. How close was your child to the top harness slot? (My 6 yr old will probably make it to 8 in the frontier, not sure I'm going to harness him that long but at 6 it's needed as the car makes him go crazy.). Also you have other options with the same harness height as the maestro m that make longer lasting booster such as the evenflo secure kid or the Graco nautilus.
