Car Seat Storage

A while back I saw something on FB regarding storing car seats outside. So I decided to bring the Peg in the other day. I can't find anywhere convenient to put it unless I put it downstairs in the storage area. It's too big for any of my closets and I probably could leave it on the laundry room counter but I'd hate for one of the kittens to use it as a litter box or other things!

What are YOUR thoughts on garage storage? I don't use it often. Actually, I don't recall when I last used it.

I currently have two brand new infant seats in my garage, in their original boxes. The temperature swing doesn't worry me- they would freeze and warm up in a car too. I am slightly worried about rodents though. I haven't seen any traces of anything living in my garage though, so my fingers are crossed. I currently also have car seats in my living room, attic, and spare room :eek:

Just make sure if it has been used that it's thoroughly cleaned first! Mice love crumbs etc. Whatever you do, don't put it in your humid/damp basement. 😖 I learned that the hard way...two harness assemblies later.

Well, it's currently in my closet. But - I can't close the door! I don't want my kittens to be able to get in there. Right now their favorite thing is destroying the Christmas tree, so they're distracted!
