Help with seat for special needs 6 year old

I have a special needs 6 year old that needs a new car seat. His current one no longer fits him. Due to his medical problems he still needs to be in a harness. I have been told the Britax Pinnacle 90 is what he needs for his safety. I am a low income single parent. Are there any organizations that may help me get this much needed seat?

Hi. Can you tell us a bit more about him, such as his height and weight? Do you know his torso height (bum to shoulders)? Does he need a seat with recline to it or simply a harness for support?

The Britax Frontier 90 is the same seat structurally as the Pinnacle, but costs anywhere from $15-$30 less depending on where you buy it. The Evenflo SureRide is another seat you may be able to consider because it has very tall harness slots, but it has a much lower weight limit of 65 lbs. (and a much lower price tag).

So, if you can answer those questions, we can help you with the carseat and then steer you toward finding one.
