Is this a decent seat?

We had the Snugride 35 for DD2 and we liked it so much we bought a second one after we had to replace the original after an accident. We have big babies though so had no problem with them fitting in the beginning, but we also really liked how long it lasted her, too. :)

A Snugride 35 and a Snugride 30 are not at all the same seat. Both a quite good, the 30 is actually great for even teeny tiny babies, but it won't last as long as the 35.

Yes, I obviously realize they aren't the same seat, and that the 30 wont last as long as the 35 (but figured out the PP could figure that out by the numbers;) but in my opinion they weren't that much different in terms of install and ease of use, my SIL had a 30 and I used it quite a bit with my nephew. So in that regard, yes I think it's a good seat.

The SR30 isn't my *favorite* seat but for $65 it beats anything else you could normally buy in that price range.

The base doesn't have lock-offs like the SR35 (classic connect) but it's pretty straightforward and the recline adjustment is easy to use. It's not a seat I'd turn my nose up at.

Thanks for the input. My friend is expecting and at that price I could gift her a seat. She had a keyfit for her last baby though, so it may feel like too much of a downgrade.
