Britax Advocate ClickTight Harness Strap Disconnected

We made our maiden voyage with our new Advocate Clicktight today. I had checked the harness straps at the clicktight spot after reading admin's post. It didn't occur to me to check the harness as the yoke plate. When I went to place baby in the seat, the left harness pulled all the way out of the seat. It was disconnected at the yoke plate and the right harness was slightly off the yoke plate.

It was easy enough to hook them back up, but something new owners need to be aware of. I called Britax and made a report. They offered to exchange the seat (?) but I declined.

Admin: Please fix spelling in title :)

Thank you for posting!

I think we may have one of these seats in our future, but I'm holding off as long as possible for the "kinks" to get worked out.

I generally like it. The other seat I considered was another Radian. It's much more compact than the Radian. I like the idea of not having to continually replace the Angle Adjuster.

Adjusting the recline of the seat is easy if the seat is on a hard surface, but I can't do it on the vehicle seat. Having to pull the seat out of the vehicle and set it on the ground to adjust the angle isn't my favorite.

I'm not a huge fan of HUGS, but they aren't the end of the world. I don't think I'll mind them when DD is bigger, but right now it's a tight fit getting the giant belly pad, the HUGS and the giant shoulder pads on such a small torso.

Reattaching the harness was challenging because the belt path is covered, but that will probably be a good thing when the seat is FF .

To be fair, I haven't loved any seat until I've had it at least a month. I'm learning :)

Basically, I'm going to need another high-height-capacity harnessed seat for my daughter, and at age 4 I don't really want to buy another Frontier; I would prefer something narrower than a Frontier, and she'll be moving to a booster long before next squish goes forward facing, so a Boulevard CT seems like a good option when she just can't use the Radian or the CA any longer. Which she's really, really close to. I'm crossing my fingers that she can make it another 6 months before I have to buy something new for her.

That is my plan also. Baby girl has a Diplomat that expires in June so I have until then....
