expired car seats....

So, I have a friend that has a girl who is 6 y/o just like my DD. When her girl was born she got her a Britax Marathon, I got mine a Britax Diplomat, so she now has a baby, she is using the Marathon with the baby, I told her that the Marathon was expired because it was 6 years old and just like mine it was expire, she said she went to the website and read that the seat expired in 7 years, not 6, and also she read that the seat expired only as a RF seat but it didn't expired as a FF seat, I told her I was sure this was not right. So, she is open to what I say, so she will listen (I hope) . Is the Britax Marathon expired? It was pursued is 2008, not sure the MFD

The older generation Britax convertible seats expired at 6. New ones at 7. Same term in both directions.

So, if the seat was pursues in May 2008 it is expired

The same day I got another friend get ride of 2 really expired seats, one from 2010 and one from 2012, that friend was really driving me crazy!
