Harness straps and chemo port...

I have been generously offered the use of a kiddy world plus to use until she reaches the 40 lb limit by a tech on this board. I probably will be boostering her on the ride home from the hospital (hopefully tomorrow) then limiting rides until the seat comes. People everywhere have been so generous and supportive through this hard time. I welcome any suggestions from the special needs tech for after she reaches the 40 lbs or any suggestions in general.

Awesome news & many thanks to the lender!

Thank you all! While we wait for the KWP to get here I have turned her Radian back rear facing. She just fits hight wise. Even when she's not accessed the straps bother her touching the port area though. That may be more psychological than actual pain since she doesn't even want me to look under her shirt at the incisions let alone change her shirt... I think she will be happy with the KWP.

She is doing pretty well. She doesn't like her port accessed and it took three of us to hold her down to access it and give her her chemo Monday. My friend was with the baby in the waiting room and her husband could hear Sophie screaming over the phone. :-/ She also got a high temp Tuesday which landed us in the ER from 11:30 PM til 3:30 AM. Luckily her blood counts were high enough that she didn't get admitted and the antibiotics made her fever go down. Right now the biggest struggle is getting her to eat enough. She's at 35 lbs and the drs goal is just to maintain that rather than gain weight back so hopefully the KWP will last all of chemo.

Thanks again for the advice and support!

I had no idea you and your family were going through this. Sending prayers your way. I'm so glad you have a seat solution for now.
