    Odyssey Options

Okay, so I think I'm sold on an Odyssey to purchase this summer. Help me with options please! I need an 8p, I'm not sure what year they started doing that. Optional safety and convenience features would be nice, but I'm not sure how easy it is to find a "fully loaded" used one for sale. Clean, as in new condition is a must. I know LATCH configurations change all the time, but I need the most tether anchors. I'm not worried about lower anchors. Also, which years are compatible with carseats in the 2nd row middle add-on seat? I want to know which years I should be looking at. Thanks

Not knowing your budget, I can only answer some of your questions. 2011 was the last major redesign. If you get an 8 seater (i.e., anything but the base model) the "+1" seat is compatible with many car seats, and you get 5 full sets of LATCH and a 6th tether anchor in the 3rd row center.

2006-2010 was the previous body type. It has six rear seats, LATCH in the outboard second row, tethers in all six.

The second row center seat isn't as compatible as the new one.

The benefit (for us, at least) of that generation is that the center seat could be removed and one of the captain's chairs could be moved to the center-ish position. If you need all eight seats or have different needs, that might not matter to you.

Yeah, budget would be a little helpful to know where realistically you can get a "fully loaded" option and then what that trim level or model year would be. Also, ages of kids with car seats might also help in recommending different configurations.

There are 8 passenger options going back to the 2005 model year. Honda has LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, and Touring Elite trim levels (not for every year, but the current). They also have two additional options that are called "RES" and "NAV" (Rear Entertainment System and Navigation) that could come on any of the EX+ trim levels. There is just a lot of information to present...and since you aren't buying until this coming summer, prices and inventory will be completely different than what we find today.
